Ancient Forests & Champion Trees

Fred Breglia, Executive Director of the Landis Arboretum, will present a talk, “Ancient Forests and Champion Trees”, where he will highlight many of the old growth trees that exist in the Capital Region and across New York State. Breglia has spent the past 15 years searching for, exploring and documenting ancient forests, and his findings will be featured in this presentation. Attendees will also learn how to recognize the characteristics of old growth forests as he takes you on a virtual tour of the largest and oldest trees of the northeast.

This program is free and open to the public.
