Invest in a more sustainable future for Saratoga – Donate before Dec. 31

Please donate today to help us build on our momentum!

As you make your year-end giving plans, please consider an investment in Saratoga’s future. Sustainable Saratoga has been a leader in many successes for our community this year:

  • We defended our City in the Country against two major threats: (1) a change to our city’s Comprehensive Plan that would have allowed large-scale commercial development in the greenbelt, and (2) a Vegas-style resort casino that would have weakened our downtown and compromised our way of life

  • Our Tree Toga festival in April empowered citizens to make our streets greener and more beautiful. Over 30 trees were planted in our downtown neighborhoods by volunteers, and many more by City personnel thanks to the Urban Forest Master Plan and grant funding we helped obtain.

  • Our Bring Your Own Bag (BYOBag) initiative is cutting down on plastic bag waste in our community. On Dec. 2, we formally began discussions with City Council about implementing a ban on thin-film plastic checkout bags.

  • The Spa Solar Park on the Weibel Ave. landfill has received funding and will provide our city with clean, renewable power. We were instrumental in developing the vision for the project and helped the City apply for funding.

  • We have advocated a better design for the City Center’s proposed parking garage, and we are having an impact on the approval process.
